Re-Gathering Statement

Announcement regarding re-opening for in-person worship
Praise the Lord that the Grace United Methodist Church Council has approved a plan to resume in-person worship on Sunday, July 12! We will have one service at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Our desire is to keep all who attend safe, so there will be some changes in our worship patterns in order to limit contact between congregants. We will be seated throughout the Sanctuary and dismissed by ushers in order to maintain social distancing. You may not get your favorite seat, but we’ll get you as close as we can!
We will not have our usual time of refreshments and fellowship in the Fireside Room for the time being and access to other parts of the building will be limited. The church building has been deep cleaned over these months and will continue to be sanitized after each use.
As we begin to gather together again, all are invited. However, we know that some have particular health concerns or are otherwise vulnerable, so please use your own best judgment about joining us in person for any church activity. We will continue to offer worship on-line and via our television ministry for those who are not able to join us in person. Whether in person or through the social media, know that we are grateful for your participation in worshiping Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, through the worship ministries of Decatur Grace United Methodist Church!
