Women of Grace

At the heart of our Women’s Ministry is study of God’s word. Not just for information but for transformation of our hearts and homes. A changed heart not only affects a woman’s own life but affects those she encounters each day–family, co-workers, and neighbors. Our goals are to equip each woman to handle real-life issues using biblical principles; to serve each other with love, respect, and encouragement; to rediscover joy, contentment and value at every stage of life;to hold one another accountable to faithful living in the power of the Holy Spirit; and to share the joy of our salvation by going into our community to serve our neighbors showing them the love and mercy of Christ.

Opportunities for Women at Grace

  • United Methodist Women meet on the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room.
  • Sisters in Christ is a small group of women of all ages who meet for Bible study and support on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room.
  • We have a Women’s Bible Study that meets every Tuesday from 11:15-12:30 a.m. for Bible study and to encourage one another in growing in our faith, spurring one another on to love and good deeds.

Sisters in Christ Group

Sisters in Christ is a women’s Bible Study that meets weekly to study the Word of God. In our time together, we not only grow closer to God through study, but we also encourage, pray, and fellowship with one another.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group, both male and female, who gather not only to knit and/or crochet, but to recognize and pray for those in need of a prayer shawl.

Prayer Shawls are provided to those who are experiencing life changing events, whether those be times of joy or sadness. When the recipient wraps themselves in their shawl we pray they feel both the love and comfort of God as well as those that created and prayed over the shawl.

The group meets twice each month in the Fireside Room. We meet the first Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. and the third Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. If you enjoy knitting/crocheting for the purpose of praying and providing comfort for others you are encouraged to join us. Materials can be provided if necessary. For those unable to join but have interest in participating in the ministry, we encourage you to create shawls and following completions forward them to the ministry for blessing and distribution.
